After grand success of our Centennial Charter night celebration of Berkeley Makalu , We have couple of upcoming events . Please be informed and if possible join us to make our upcoming events also a grand success.

1. November 20th 2015 , we have Certificate distribution event in Local School
2. November 21st 2015, we have Food drive event in Local Safeway Store.
3. November 22nd 2015, we have Public Speaking workshop in 56 S Milpitas Blvd, Milpitas, CA, 95035
Our Club will participate in Safeway’s campaign “Help Us End Hunger” for the 2015 Holiday season! Which is also a centennial service challenge of Lions Clubs International. It’s a great volunteer opportunity to end Hunger in our community, we are partnering with Alameda County Community Food Bank to support the program at a local stores of Safeway, Please join us, your act of kindness and smile may encourage shopper to pay $10 and you will get lots of blessing from the soul who get enough food to survive. Please do not miss this opportunity, I will be there before 10 Am and hope to see you there.

In the month of October we had asked to conduct International Peace poster completion in Berkeley Art Magnet School and Local Nepali community but unfortunately we did not get any entry from the kids of our community. But The School and the Principal supported us to organize the peace poster contest. They had provided us five peace posters, out of five we selected three to represent District Level Competition. The Program coordinator Lion Iswar Sitaula, Club President Dhruva Thapa and Lion Member Kailash Thapa selected the posters to send next level of Competition.

On November 14th , the 2nd District Cabinet Meeting held at the Discovery Bay Yacht Club , on that meeting we had peace poster exhibition and selection to represent International completion from our District., unfortunately we did not win the district level competition but we have gained really valuable experience since it was our first participation in the period of ten years of our club.
On November 17th Club President Thapa visited Berkeley Art Magnet school with the certificates from Lions Club International to get it sign from the Principal and schedule the date to handover certificate to all the participants and winner kids.. The School management team has given date on November 20th sharp at 11:45 Am to hand over the certificates. so the Club requests to all the members to join this event and encourage our kids for their excellent paintings. The club has decided to give each participant’s student a small gift so if any one of you are interested to give any gift please feel free to contact us or bring on that day. Your small gift may bring a big smile to our kids.
It’s a thanks giving time so let’s give special thanks to the school, Principal and the kids of Berkeley Art Magnet School. We will meet at Taste of the Himalayas Berkeley sharp at 11.30 AM.

On November 2oth Berkeley Annapurna Lions Club, Fremont Sagarmatha and Sunny Sagarmatha Samaj are jointly organizing a workshop on “Effective Public Speaking workshop” in 556 S Milpitas Blvd, Milpitas, CA, 95035; If any one of you are interested to improve your public speaking skill, Please join the workshop. The Seats are limited to 3o participants and participation fee is $ 25 only (The cost includes Lunch and study materials) Time 10 AM to 4 PM.
